Aquatic Biology

I’ve been crazy, just crazy, about fish and aquatic biology ever since I was a kid, playing divers with my dad in front of the kelp forest mural in the Steinhart Aquarium. So when it came time to start blogging, there was only one subject where I felt I could make a contribution to the conversation that’s already going on in the blogosphere (see my blogroll for blogs I read every day) while having a great time. If you’re curious about why I chose the term aquatic biology, which conflates fresh and salt water, lakes, rivers, bogs, mires, cenotes, vernal pools (you see where I’m going), that was my boss’s job title at the Steinhart when I worked there as a volunteer in high school.

Enjoy!
